Tissue distribution of 125I-BMIPP in SD rats and the effect of blood flow on myocardial uptake of BMIPP[J]. Nuclear techniques, 1998, (5): 317-320.DOI:
The tissue distribution of 125I-BMIPP in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats and theeffect of blood now on myocardial uptake of BMIPP were reported. The resultshowed myocardial uptake at 5 min after 125I-BMIPP injection was 3.86%ID/g andremained constant up to 60 min. The ratios of myocardium/blood andmyocardium/lung as well as myocardium/liver were 1.56
2.08 and 1.62 respectively at30 min. The liver showed rapid clearance of 125I-BMIPP. In dipyridamole group
myocardial uptake of 125I-BMIPP (3.90±0.25%ID/g) and myocardium/blood ratio(1.79± 0.17) were signilicantly increased (P<0.05) than those of the normal control(3.27± 0.32%ID/g and 1.56± 0.09). Therefore
BMIPP showed higher myocardialuptake and longer myocardial retention and can refiect myocardial perfusion
so itcan be used as myocardial perfusion tracers for SPECT
