Tc-ECD SPECT cerebral blood flow perfusion imaging has been performed in 70 patients of cerebrovascular disease
including cerebral infarct
TIA and vertebral hasal artery insufficiency(VBI).The results were compared with CT and MRI.The positive rate of SPECT in diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases was 90%
whereas CT and MRI 88.2% and 90% respectively.Fifty-one of the 55 cerebral infarct patients have decreased cerebral blood flow perfusion
4 had crossed cerebellar diaschsisThe positive rate of SPECT in diagnosing TIA and VBI are both 75%.More abnormal areas were found in SPECT image than CT and MRI.For detection of viability of brain tissue after cerebral ischemia and infarction
it can provide an evidence for clinical therapy
and also a useful tool in diagnosis of TIA and VBI.
