99mTc-MIBI(740MBq) was intravenously administered in 33 cases of coronary heart diseases.Planer myocardial imaging was performed 1h later. Lung/heart ratio was determined using ROI technique. The result showed that there was very significant difference between the lung/heart ratio of angina pectoris and myocardial infarction group compared with the normal controls (P<0.01). If 0.38 as marker for severe coronary artery disease was used
then the sensitivity was 87.5%
specificity 100% and accuracy 93.3%. In our study
these were 7 cases withlung/heart ratio >0.38. This accounted for 21.2%. In all these cases
the myocardial imaging were positive
with ischemia in more than two walls. Thereby lung/heart ratio was clinically useful for determining the seventy and prognosis of coronary artery disease.
