In this paper

we discuss the technical problems during installation and debugging of the hydrostatic leveling system(HLS) established on the linac

booster and storage ring of Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF)

and the ways to solve the problems.Before the system installation

all the sensors were tested to exclude anyone that failed

because of the reasons of transportation

to meet the accuracy requirement of the SSRF design.The test method and test process are given in detail.During the process of HLS system installation

we solved a number of problems that could not be anticipated

e.g problems of the supports and water supplying.The surveying results after system installation show that the system works normally and satisfies the designing requirement.
