the regenerative-dose sensitivity change corrected IRSL and [post-IR] OSL intensities from fine-grained polyminerals were investigated to reveal their implications on environment change. In the same measurement condition
the regenerative-dose sensitivity change corrected IRSL and [post-IR] OSL intensity correlate well with the magnetic susceptibility
which believed to be a reliable environment change indicators in the Chinese Loess Plateau (CLP)
since the last interglacial in the Luochuan profile. This implies the possible link between the IRSL or [post-IR] OSL intensity and environment change. In addition
four samples collected from the corresponding upper L1 of four sites located at the transect from northwest (NW) to southeast (SE) in the CLP were studied further to confirm the supposition above. The results showed both IRSL and [post-IR] OSL intensity increase from NW to SE
which is also the direction for weather change from cold and dry to warm and humid. Here
we concluded that IRSL intensity was determined by the feldspar species or content
while [post-IR] OSL intensity affected by the contribution of feldspar. This study showed regenerative-dose sensitivity change corrected IRSL and [post-IR] OSL intensity can be used to indirectly indicate the environment change in the CLP. The results also give a caution of luminescence dating by using [post-IR] OSL.
