A clinical-scale 188W-188Re generator loaded with more than one curie of 188W was successfully prepared. The yield of 188Re from generator eluted with 10mL isotonic saline solution was 90%. The breakthrough of 188W was 4 × 10-7. The purity of eluted 188Re was satisfactory. Radionuclide purity was >99.9%. Radiochemical purity was >99% of the 188Re as perrhenate ion. Concentration of aluminium in eluate was ～ 1 μ g Al/mL. The generator provides a convenient supply of sterile 188Re as sodium perrhenate in injectable saline solution ready for use in the preparation of 188Re labelled therapeutic reagents.
