Stress is the most serious obstacle in raising magnetic intensity of a high-pulsed magnet. However
it is difficult to determine accurately both in theoretical analysis and in electromechanical design as its complicated distribution and interaction. In this paper
a finite element method is applied to calculate the stress and all present coupled component
such as pre-stress
electromagnetic force and thermal stress etc.
are all taken into account. Some helpful rules for magnet design are obtained in terms of numerical results.
