Calculating the direction of crystal defects is an essential task in the crystal research. Some previously used methods need monochromatic X-ray radiation

and the crystal orientation should be adjusted precisely. The authors proposed a new method not long ago

in which white synchrotron radiation was used instead of the monochromatic radiation and the crystal orientation needn抰 to be adjusted. The calculating method is introduced in detail and the calculation error is estimated.
