摘要

OMEGA500型单光子电脑断层（SPECT）系统是美国制造的一种比较先进的核医学系统。最近，由于采用了SENTINEL微处理器，使该系统以崭新的面目出现。

新设计的SENTINEL数字微处理器代替了原来OMEGA500中的某些电子学线路，可以提供一套系统校刻参数。这些校刻参数能提高SPECT系统总的性能，包括能量分辨率、线性度和均匀性。

Abstract

The OMEGA 500 single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) system made in USA

has been improved in energy resolution

integration linearity and uniformity from 13.2%

0.88mm and 5.2% to 10.9%

0.82mm and 4.2%

respectively) by using a microprocessor SENTINEL instead of conventional electronic circuits. SENTINEL is composed of MC 68000 microprocessor chips and a software package

allowing to perform the corrections of the SPECT system under different energies

radioactive sources and a variety of collimation. The correction data are stored on a floppy disc and can ready to be accessed.
