The improvements are as follows: increasing the efficiency of the detector to 11%; reducing the delay time; using the best cyclic activation analysis condition; reducing the background and increasing the weight of the sample. Now the detection limit is about 0.7 ppb. We have determined the uranium contents of one multicrystalline and five monocrys-talline samples made in China. The uranium contents of ths multicrystalline and two monocrystallines can be determined and the other three's are lower than the detection limit. This paper also describes the methods of determination of the best cyclic activation analysis condition and cyclic amplifier factor by a computer.
