Xe inhalation technique in 106 normal adults

22 patients of functional headache and 22 patients of ischemic cerebral vascular disease. The total normal rCBF values (M±SD) were 63.2±7.7 ml/(min•100g) for the left and 63.4± 8.2 ml/(min•100g) for the right. The normal values of age over forty were 59.2± 6.3ml/(min•100g) for left and 60.2±7.1 ml/(min•100g)for right. The rCBF values of functional headache were 67.4±7.1 ml/(min•100g) for the left and 67.2±5.3 ml/(min•100g) for the right. In ischemic cerebral vascular disease the rCBF values were 45.6±9.2 ml/(min•100g) for the left and 47.0±8.4 ml/(min•100g) for the right. Acco rding to the level of rCBF the 22 patients of ischemic cerbral vascular disease were divided into three groups

and discussed. The ligusticum(Chuanxiong) can raise rCBF. The rCBF was raised significantly in 6 cases after giving ligusticum intramuscularly.
