Abstract

The relationship between the ratio of gamma-ray Rayleigh to Compton backscattering intensities (R/C) and the weight fraction of heavy element in light matrixes were investigated. An improved(R/C)

eff

analytical technique for tin-ore samples was described. The technique can be regarded as a substitute for the XRF method where the self-absorption process worsens the analytical accuracy of heavy elements.
