Abstract

In this paper a simple tape transport system to measure the nuclei with half-live T

≥1 s was described. The reaction products are collected on a Mylar foil

which was then transported immediately to the measurement spot. The vacuum in the reaction chamber was 2.67 mPa and while the tape was pulled the vacuum decreased to 6.67 mPa. The vacuum was recovered immediately to the original value when the tape's movement is stopped. a
