Analysis of white alloy was performed by using a portable radioisotope source X-ray fluorescence（XRF） analyser in the workshop of railway factories. Some methods to overcome segregation influence on the analysis and to correct matrix effects are discussed in detail. An effective mathematical model has been established XRF determination of white alloy could replace or partly repkce chemical analysis and make the analysis faster and reliable.
