Thirteen sandy soil specimens were collected from the earth’s surface along an exploring line across the target area. Three different ways (called A
B and C for short) were chosen to get the TL data of every specimen for anlysis. Our comparative study confirms that the way A (using the original mixed sandy soil sample) appears most desirable
the way B (using fine-grain sample only) comes second
whereas the way C (inserting some LiF slices in every collected specimen at 25mm deep for 175 days before measuring TL signals from the slices) dose not seem successful. A brief discussion is given.
