The time and energy resolutions of the ring-parallel plate avalanche detector for ThC’a source and 252Cf spontaneous fission source were 370ps and 35% respectively.The detector was used to the correlation measurement between the interme diate-mass-fragmention

and the projectile-likes and the evaporation-residues in 40Ar （26MeV/u）+ 159Tb and nat Ag reactions.In the experiment

the scattersing angles covered were from 7°to 12°.The projectile-lilies and the evaporation-residues were found to be separated well in the two-dimension spectrum of energy loss vs time of flight

in spite of the poor energy-loss resolution.
