The full energy peak efficiency calibration of a Ge(Li)detector has been made for cylindrical and well-shaped liquid samples with six different weights. The samples are prepared by using the standard solution with many radioactive nuclides in it. Two functions
i.e. efficiency vs. gamma-ray energy and efficiency vs.sample’sweight
are fitted by the least square method for two different shaped liquid sources respectively.Comparisons are conducted of the efficiency and the detection limit for two liquid sources with the same weight and different geometries.
