The evaluation of ventricular function and diagnostic use of ̄(99m)Tc-MIBI gated myocardial imaging in coronary heart disease
or the assessment of the diagnostic efficiency of planar gated myocardial scintigraphy(PGMS) and comparison of value of left ventricltun myocardial contraction fraction(LVCF) with that of the ejection fraction(EF)
18 normal subjects and 118 patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) performed 99mTc-MIBI myocardial imaging
including SPECT
PGMS and radionuclide ventriculography (RNV). All LVCF data were correlated to LVEF by RNV. The results showed that the overall sensitivities of SPECT and PGMS for diagnoSing CHD were 90.7% and 83.3% respectively. Similar specificities were found. The reproducibility of Density Method to calculate LVCF which was based on the end systolic increase in myocedial count density was good. The corresPOnding correlation coefficient(r) and the regression equation were: LVCF=0.54× EF+24.21; r=0.86. Segmental wall motion observed by PGMS well conincided with that of RNV.
