Synthesis of Carboxylic ion exchange fiber and its application in Uranium extraction
A kind of carboxylic ion exchange fiber was synthesized. The fiber static adsorption properties to uranium ion have been investigated. The influence of different experimental parameters such as final solution pH value
fiber weight
sorption time
temperature and initial concentration of uranium ion were evaluated. The sorption isotherms of uranium were drawn.Langmuir and Freundlich equations were obtained. Results show that the fiber’s absorption capacity is relative to the concentration of uranium ion when pH> 2 and t=30 min.IR spectrum reveals that the carboxyl groups on the fiber are coordinated to uranium ion.
