A study of hydrophobic catalyst’s performance for HD/H2O isotope exchange
This paper comprehensively studies the influence of the gas velocity
temperature and feeding point on the mass transfer coefficient. Experiment results are as follows: (1) The mass transfer coefficient increases linearly when the gas velocity increases from 2 to 9 cm?s-1
and it reaches a high value between 40 mol?m-3?s-1 and 60 mol?m-3?s-1 when the gas velocity increases from 20 to 90 cm?s-1. Therefore
it might be an effective way to improve the mass transfer coefficient by increasing the gas velocity. (2) The mass transfer coefficient of the enriching section sharply decreases when the feeding point moves lower. In experiments
the vapor plays a very important role in the catalytic exchange process. (3) The operating temperature should be near 45℃.
