Gama dose rate contribution of artificial radioactive nuclide 137Cs on the Chinese land
Cs deposited on the Chinese land produces r dose rate. It is fairly reasonable to estimate its contribution by using the uniform distribution model. In this study
the province averages of 137Cs r dose rate were found to be (7-18 ) x 10 -10
Gyh -1
which correspond to 1 % --3% of total r dose rate on land. The average of whole country was about 9 x 10 -10Gyh -1 and 1. 5% of total r dose rate when took the population distribution into consideration. The maximum was 1. 7 x 10 -8Gyh -1 which approached to the contribution from any natural radionuclide series. The results for 137Cs r dose rate estimated by using the exponential distribution model with 3cm average depth were about twice as large as those estimated by using the uniform distribution one.
