A high-T_c YBaCuO superconductor lens was used to focus intense relativistic electron beams. The superconductor lens(Tc≥90K
Jc≥150A/cm~2) was developed into taper-shape with a length of 100mm and a thickness of 4mm. The inner diameters of both ends were 60mmm and 40mm respectively. The experimental results indicate that the superconductor lens possesses obvious focusing characteristic and can be used to effectively control the beam intensity distribution with a flated top in the beam transverse-section.
