because their pulse height spectra are overlapped.

According to Klein-Elsler method

the degree of separation between two isotope spectra can be enhanced by selecting the discriminator setting for each channel. The concentrations of

H and

125

I can be calculated from the total activity appearing in each channel and from the ratio of counts in the two channels for each isotope when they are present in pure form. This method can easily be used in

H and

125

I double labelling study.
