Abstract

4-oxadiazole (P-TTD) is a new primary scintillator. Its counting effecincy

quenching

resistance

chemical stability and improvement after the addition of the second scintillator POPOP were measured and it is proved to be ideal primary scintillator comparable to 2-phenyl-5- (4'-biphenylyl)-1

4-oxadiazole (PBD). Furthermore

it costs only one fifth of PBD.
