In this paper a method for the analysis of the complex Mössbauer spectra involving computerbased spectrum stripping is described. The reference spectra of various standards are measured and stored in a computer-accessible form. The stripping calculations are performed one by one until the residuals become simple. Then the residual spectra can be analyzed on a least-squares fitting computer program.
This method has already been used on a DJS-21 computer whose capacity is small. Spectrum stripping can also be carried out by a TRS-80 microprocessor.
