Abstract

The advance of neutron physics are reviewed from the viewpoints of fundamental characteristics of neutron and conservation laws and interactions of neutrons with nuclei. The newest experimental results of weak interaction constants defined in neutron decay and neutron electrical dipole moment are given. The mechanism of P violation and possible

violation in the interaction of slow neutron with nuclei is discussed. The progress in researches on Fermi energy anomaly in fast neutron potential and on high excited states induced by slow neutron (

) and (

2) reactions

particulary the compound state to compound state transitions

are introduced.
