本文介绍了ESR测年法的发展、现状以及此方法的优越性。介绍了电子自旋共振的基本原理及ESR测年法的基本原理。并通过对周口店石笋样品年龄（6×10

a）的测定具体介绍了此方法的实际运用过程。最后，就ESR测年法的一些有关问题进行了探讨。
