A lot of samples will be measured when the fission track method is used for the uranium exploration. A higher measuring speed and accuracy can be achieved when the automatic measuring method described here is used. This paper presented some results obtained by using a texture analysing system (T. A. S.) for automatic measurement of the fission tracks of some samples in the field. The comparison was made between two results obtained by using the T. A. S. and the microscope.
