For many years

the coicidence measurement techniques have often played an important role in the experiments of nuclear physics. Since the invention of the Ge(Li) detector

wihich has an excellent energy resolution and larger volume

the coincidence methods have greatly been improved. As the Ge(Li) detector has larger capacitance and small pulse-height and various rise time of pulse

its timing seems more difficult.

A Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) list mode multiparameter system with the Scorpio-3000 multichannel computer system and two large Ge(Li) detectors (one is 130 cm

the other 100 cm

3

) has been set up and adjusted.

The system is capable of processing 1000 events/s and E-E-T analysis in 4096 × 4096 × 1024 channels. The play back sorting of a 2500 feet magnetic tape is completed in 90 minutes

and the work can be done with the same computer on the spot

The time resolution is 30 ns at 1.33 MeV γ ray and true/false coincidence ratio is 65:1.
